ඩවුන්ලෝඩ් කළ ෆිල්ම් ප්ලේයරේ බැලීම
අපි avi හරි mpeg හරි wmv හරි වෙනත් ඒ වගේ වීඩියෝ ෆයිල් එකක් ඩවුන්ලෝඩ් කළා කියමු. ඒක ඒ විදියටම ඩී වී ඩී එකක රයිට් කළොත් අළුත් ප්ලේයර්ස් වලනං පේයි.ඒත් සාමාන්‍ය ස්ටෑන්ඩර්ඩ් ප්ලේයර්ස් වල පේන්නෙ නෑ.ලෝඩිං එරර් කියලා ෆේල් වෙයි.ඩවුන්ලෝඩ් කරන ෆිල්ම් ප්ලේයරේ දාලා ටී වී එකේ බලන්න ඕනෙ නම් ඒ ඩී වී ඩී ප්ලේයර්ස් හදන කොම්පැණි එකඟ වෙලා, බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන ෆෝර්මැට් එකට අපි අපේ වීඩියෝ ෆයිල් සකසන්න ඕනෙ.එහෙම සකසන්න පුළුවං ටූල් ගොඩක් ඇති.ඒ අතරිං ඉබ්බ තෝර ගත්තෙ ඩී වී ඩී ෆ්ලික්(DVDFlick) කියන ෆ්‍රී ටූල් එක.ඒකෙ ප්‍රයෝජනවත් වෙන මූලික උපාංග බොහොමයක් ලේසියෙන් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවං.ලැප්ටොප් එකක් තියනවනං ටී වී එක ගාවට ගෙනිහිං එස් වීඩියෝ අවුට් එකක් කඩෙං අරං ලැප්ටොප් එකයි ටී වී එකයි අමුණලත් ෆිල්ම් බලතෑකි.ඒත් ස්ටෑන්ඩ් අලෝන් එකකට මේ වැඩේ කරන්න අමාරුනෙ 🙂 .
මුලිංම ඩී වී ඩී ෆ්ලික් ඉන්ස්ටෝල් කරළා ඕපන් කරන්න.එතකොට ඔය පහළ රූපෙ වගේ වින්ඩෝ එකක් ඕපන් වෙයි.ඒකට අපිට ඕනෙ වීඩියෝ ෆයිල් එකක් හෝ කීපයක් ඇදලා දාන්න.එයා ඔටෝ ඩී වී ඩී එකේ කැපෑසිටි එකට හරි යන්න වීඩියෝ ෆයිල් වල කොලිටි එහෙට මෙහෙට කරළා හදා ගනියි. හොඳට කොලිටි අවුට්පුට් එකක් ඕනෙ නම් එක ෆිල්ම් එකක් ඉතරක් දා ගන්න.නැත්තං එයා කොලිටි ගොඩක් අඩු කරන්න ඉඩ තියනවා.ඊට පස්සෙ ඒ වින්ඩෝ එකේම ඔය පහළම තියන වර්කිං ඩිරෙක්ටරිය සෙට් කරන්න.එයා එතන තමා ටෙම්පරරි ෆයිල් හදලා වැඩ ටික ඔක්කොම කරළා ඩී වී ඩී ස්ට්‍රක්චර් එක හදන්නෙ.
ඔය උඩම මෙනු එකේ තියන ප්‍රොජෙක්ට් සෙටිංස් බොත්තම එහෙම ඔබලා ඕනෙ කස්ටමයිසේෂන් එකක් කර ගන්නත් පුළුවං.
අපි හිතමු අපිට සබ්ටයිටල්ස් දාන්න ඕනෙ කියලා.අපි අදාල වීඩියෝ එක සිලෙක්ට් කරළා වින්ඩෝ එකේ දකුණු පැත්තේ තියන එඩිට් ටයිටල් බොත්තම ඔබනවා.එතකොට එනවා පොපප් එකක්. ඒකෙත් සෙටිංස් වගයක් තමා තියෙන්නෙ.ඒකේ ස්ක්‍රීන් රේෂෝ එක 16ට 9ද 4ට 3ද, චැප්ටර්ස්, සබ්ටයිටල්ස් ඕනෙ තරං ලැංවේජස් ගානකිං දාන්න පුළුවං.ඕගොල්ලොම ට්‍රයි කරළා බලන්න.
ඊට අමතරව සබ්ටයිටල් ටැබ් එක තවත් කන්ෆිගර් කරන්න පුළුවං.සබ්ටයිටල් භාෂාව සිංහලීස් කියලා එහෙමත් තියනවා.අකුරු වල සයිස් එක, පාට, බැක්ග්‍රවුන්ඩ් එහෙමත් වෙනස් කරන්න පුළුවං.
මේ ඔක්කොම සෙටිංස් හදලා ඇක්සෙප්ට් කරළා අර මුල් වින්ඩෝ එකේ උඩම තියන මෙනු එකේ ක්‍රියේට් ඩී වී ඩී කියන බොත්තම ඔබන්න.මේකට ටිකක් වෙලා යන්න ඉඩ තියනවා.ඕගොල්ලන්ට ඕනෙ නං පුළුවං මේ වැඩේ ඉවර වුනාම මැෂිම ඔටෝ ඕෆ් වෙන්න කියලත් කමාන්ඩ් සෙට් කරන්න. මේකේ ඩී වී ඩී රයිට් කරන ඔප්ෂන් එකත් තියනවා.ඒත් ඉබ්බා නං පාවිච්චි කරළා නෑ 😦 . ඉබ්බා ඒකට යොදා ගන්නෙ වෙන ටූල් එකක්. ඒක ගැනත් වෙන ලිපියකිං කියන්නං.
මෙයා ඕඩියෝ වීඩියෝ ෆයිල් වල පොඩි පොඩි අප්සට් තැං එහෙමත් කරෙක්ට් කරගන්නවා.ටිකක් වෙලා යන එක තමා ප්‍රශ්නේ 🙂 .දඩිබිඩියේ ඩී වී ඩී හදන(පැය කාලෙං ඉතර) ටූල් එකකුත් තියනවා.ඒකෙ නම ඉබ්බා හොයලා කියන්නං.දැං මතක් වෙන්නෙ නෑ.හැබැයි එයාගේ මෙච්චර වැඩ කෑලි නෑ.ඕගොල්ලො ට්‍රයි කරලා බලලා අපහැදිලි තැං තියනවානං කියන්නකො.

Thanx Ibba, for thinking to share your experiences.
Can you pls tell how long this SW generally takes to encode a DVD?
BTW, I’m now used to watch all my movies on my 15.4″ laptop screen. For better sound quality, I wear a headphone (around Rs.1,500/-).
But when I watch together with someone else, I connect the laptop directly to a TV using an RGB monitor cable and RCA sound cable. ;-D
As I know, new LCD TV models come with a USB port, which supports direct play-back of divX encoded files.
For these reasons I don’t think that I will use any DVD player in near future. Anyway, thanx again.

This normally takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete. Ranges from 1 hour to 2 hours. I’m using core2duo with 2GB RAM and when I work parallel I have never encountered any hardship running other lightweight programs at the same time. Yes, why I do this is, this method is far more easy than convincing old generation to watch movies on laptop screen 😛 Hassle free!

Commenting on “AD” I use few other techniques.. one is as he said I just connect the lap top with my LCD (22″) with both screens functioning.. and use either headphone or my micro sound system for enhanced sound (for more than one person)
Interestingly I came across media players in the market of various makes like Iomega, Samsung, etc. These are generally ranging from 500GB to 1 TB and are very compact. Have many different types of output sockets (S Video, USB, HiDef, Optical for sound) and even come with wifi, where one can download movies directly. cost was around Rs 24,000 (after converting to rupees)..

Very informative. Thank you very much. Sri Lankan market takes some time to import latest technologies. Or it rarely imports stuff that do not get sold easily in mass market. Sri Lanka has a small market compared to the western or outer world. Once in a training I attended, I met a guy from UK and he showed us such an external hard with capabilities to connect with different jacks and it could function on its own. To get such stuff we have to use ebay or something like that with a possible risk of no agents available here if something goes wrong 🙂 . Thank you again for the valuable information.
I’m just trying to explain possible inexpensive methods to tryout with commonly available hardware at an average Sri Lankan home. Very much appreciate you guys for updating us on new technologies, otherwise we would be like “linde inna gembo” 🙂
